Tamil Nadu after due consideration appoint Thiru J.K.Tripathy, IPS
In pursuance of the Tamil Nadu Police (Reforms) Act, 2013 (Act No.22 of 2013) and the directions of the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi second and third read above in the case of Prakash Singh & Others, this Government has forwarded a proposal to the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, in the letter fourth read above requesting to convene the Empanelment Committee Meeting to prepare a panel of IPS officers for appointment to the post of Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, in lieu of the retirement of Thiru T.K. Rajendran, IPS, on completion of two years of his tenure as Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu, on 30.06.2019. 2. Accordingly, the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi convened the Empanelment Committee Meeting on 20.06.2019 at New Delhi and communicated its recommendations for inclusion of IPS officers in the panel for appointment to the post of Director General of Police and Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu, in the letter fifth read above. 3.
